Weekend Happenings

We had Praise team rehearsal yesterday, for the first time since the holidays. We decided to try a new schedule for a while, so we are all meeting to learn new music at an extended session once a month, and then only the people who are singing on a given Sunday will meet during the week. We'll see how it goes. I lost my voice this past week, so it was a challenge to lead rehearsal, but Andy led some of the new Zoe music we had been learning in the fall. We also looked at some Hallal music and "Agnus Dei" for Easter. When Ken Young came in October, he taught us "More Than Thunder", which the team loves to sing. Our monthly Praise & Worship was afterward, along with a potluck. I love potlucks!

During their morning Bible study, John and the kids were discussing Egypt:

Becca (who enjoys a good tangent): I wonder if they have McDonalds in Egypt...
John Mark: I bet they make their golden arches like this... (and he demonstrates Egyptian "arches")
Becca: I wonder what they eat in their McDonald's?
Philip (without missing a beat): SAND-wiches!

And everyone enjoys a good laugh, except for John Mark, who refuses to admit he was outdone by his younger brother!

Cute! I love it!! Our family has always been good with quick comebacks. Typically I was the one the joke came back on! My dad always asked if I was born a blonde and colored it brown! I can't believe I'm actually admitting it! Oh well!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!
